SAAB CONCUSED FOLLOWING HIT

Cape Breton Screaming Eagles defenceman Ian Saab received a concussion following Saturday nights game. Saab was well enough to go home with the team following Saturdays 6-3 Saint John win at Harbour Station. This according to today's Telegraph-Journal.

Saab, a fourth round pick of the Eagles, was expected to get a long look at Eagles camp. He is out indefinitely.

Following the hit by Sea Dogs tough guy Mike Thomas, Saab laid on the ice motionless for a few minutes. After about ten minutes of tests, Eagles and Sea Dogs officials ruled that he should be taken out on stretcher. He was placed in an ambulance, skates and all, that was in the Zamboni entrance and taken to hospital.
