Philadelphia Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren released several players from its training camp roster today.Among those players was Saint John Sea Dogs tough guy and New Maryland native Mike Thomas. Thomas is expected to play a big role this season, his fourth with the Dogs. He is expected to be a strong candiadte for team caoptian this season.
The Flyers also sent several other players to junior today. Among them were forwards David Labrecque (Shawinigan, QMJHL), Zac Rinaldo (London, OHL), and Eric Wellwood (Windsor, OHL); defensemen Tyler Hostetter (Erie, OHL) and Brennan Yadlowski (Lethbridge, WHL); and goaltenders Adam Morrison (Saskatoon, WHL) and Jacob DeSerres (Seattle, WHL).
