HOFFMAN OUT WITH FOOT FRACTURE

Saint John Sea Dogs sniper Mike Hoffman will miss the next one to three weeks with a fractured foot.

The Telegraph-Journal released this morning that he has a hairline fracture in his foot after blocking a shot. Hoffman suffered the injury in a 6-1 loss to PEI on Wednesday, his only game as Sea Dog. He was originally listed as day-to-day by the club.

In that game it appeared he had hurt his hand in a fight against Joel Champagne, the same play that Mike Thomas was suspended six games for by the QMJHL.

Hoffman missed both games this weekend, a 5-2 loss to Victoriaville and a 4-3 shootout win against Moncton. He will be missed as the Dogs hit the road for the next six contests beginning on Friday in Montreal.

The Ottawa Senators sent Hoffman to Saint John last week after being released from their training camp roster.
