HOFFMAN WOULD BE "HAPPY" TO BE HERE

The waiting game involving Mike Hoffman and the Saint John Sea Dogs continues.

Hoffman chose not to come to Saint John training camp, deciding to train with personal trainers in preparation for Ottawa Senators rookie camp. The sniper is extremely confident that he will make the Senators American Hockey League affiliate in Binghamton.

A quote was featured on http://www.saintjohnseadogs.com/ from Sens TV following the NHL draft saying, "I want to play at the next level next year but if that's not available I would be happy to go back to Saint John."

The former Drummondville Voltigeur told the The Record, a newspaper based in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, that the Senators told him he would not be sent back to junior this season.

Hoffman was acquired a day prior to the QMJHL entry draft. The deal completed a transaction that sent Chris DiDomenico to the Volts at the holiday trade deadline. The deal also saw Saint John acquire the 18th pick in the first round. The Dogs chose Jonathan Huberdeau with the pick.
