Station Nation Facts:
  • In 2005-2006 and 2006-2007, the Remparts line-up featured Angelo Esposito and was booed all night by the Harbour Station crowd. Esposito told the Sea Dogs he was going the NCAA route only to have him sign with Quebec.
  • In 2007-2008 the lineup featured Esposito again. Telegraph-Journal reporter Andrew McGilligan wrote a story comparing Patrick Roy to the Pope, only to have Saint Patrick call the newspaper asking for an apology. A forgotten tale of the game was the sound system. The sound didn’t work until mid-way through the first period and caused complete confusion. The confusion included the pre-game figue skaters almost being run over by the Remparts.
  • Last season the lineup featured Roy’s infamous son Jonathan. After being pulled just a few minutes into the first period, the mini Roy went to the dressing room and smashed a toilet. The Telegraph-Journal reported that the Remparts paid for the damages.
  • Goaltender Peter Delmas is likely going to have hip surgery soon. "I don’t feel any pain and I hope it continues that way," Delmas told Le Journal de Quebec earlier this week. "For now, I am not thinking about surgery but about returning to play. I’m going to practise again on Friday and I hope I feel good enough to play next weekend in the Maritimes."
  • Fans attending the Sea Dogs - Remparts game today will be treated to an eclectic mix of music from throughout the world. Several local cultural groups have been invited to help cultivate a festive atmosphere. Furthermore, the main concourse at Harbour Station will be decorated with an international flair, featuring flags from around the world. Several attendees are also planning to wear traditional dress representing their cultural background.
