WJC COUNTDOWN TONIGHT ON TSN

TSN is airing a World Junior Hockey Championship Countdown Show tonight at 11:30 pm AST.

From the TSN website:

The 30-minute special, airing exactly 18 days before the puck drops on Team Canada's quest to return to the top of the podium, features an in-depth look at the upcoming Team Canada selection camp and analysis of the players hoping to make this year's team.

James Duthie hosts the 2011 IIHF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP COUNTDOWN SHOW from the NHL ON TSN studio, alongside Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie. The program includes a candid interview with Team Canada head coach Dave Cameron, who says, “I don't like players that cheat. That said your offensive guys have to be given some leeway to be creative. I want guys that are disciplined. There's no margin in this tournament for any kind of undisciplined play. One of the goals we are going to put in as a team is we want four minor penalties or less a game. We want to go hard whistle to whistle, and nothing extracurricular.”

Also featured is an interview with Team Canada hopeful and Montreal Canadiens' draft pick Louis Leblanc, who is currently playing for the Montreal Juniors in the QMJHL, as well as an in-depth look at Windsor Spitfires teammates and billet-mates Ryan Ellis and Jack Campbell, who played against each other in the tournament's gold medal game last year as members of Team Canada and Team USA.
Selection camp, featuring Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman Simon Despres, begins Saturday in Toronto.
