The Sea Dogs became the first Quebec Major Junior Hockey League team to win the trophy since 2006 and became the first ever Atlantic Canadian team to win it.

The Sea Dogs had a regular season record of 58-7-3, a playoff record of 19-3-0, and a Memorial Cup record of 3-0-1. Combined, Saint John had went an incredible of 80-10-4 in 2010-11.
