SN Live Blog Replay. Just a bad night all around.

UPSET: Sea Dogs Head Coach Gerard Gallant wasn't too happy with his team’s performance last night.

We were chippy and dirty,” Gallant told the Gatineau newspaper Le Droit after the game. “That is not our style. I was embarrassed like never before in my two years I have been here.”

Some harsh but fair words from Gallant. The Sea Dogs didn’t play their game at all last night, having more fights than goals. Saint John’s special teams also had a rough night.

THE SAAB HIT: Sea Dogs defenseman Ian Saab was ejected for the second straight game in the first period. Saab nailed Alexandros Soumakis from behind, resulting in a five-minute major and game misconduct.

Saab than dropped the gloves with Christian Ouellet following the hit.

Soumakis remained in the ice for a few minutets before being helped to the dressing room. He did not return. Le Droit reports today Soumakis felt good after the game and did not have a headache.

Will Saab be suspended for the hit? We'll find out soon.

SOUMAKIS: Before he got injured, Soumakis had a goal at 16:06 of the first period to give Gatineau a 2-0 lead. The rookie is off to a solid start, scoring five goals and six assists in 11 games.

FIGHT #3: Here is Nathan Beaulieu fighting Rock Regimbald in the first period courtesy of HockeyFights.com. It was the third fight of the game following Stephen MacAulay’s fight with Guillaume Rousseau and Saab dropping the gloves with Ouellet.

BAD CALL: The officials in last night’s game basically ended any chance of the Sea Dogs making a comeback, making a very questionable diving call on Jonathan Huberdeau at 14:28 of the second period. The Olympiques scored 21 seconds later on the power play to make it a 4-1 game.

Gerard Gallant was not too happy on the Sea Dogs bench.

BIG HIT: Just before Gatineau’s first goal, Charles-Olivier Roussel nearly ended the life of Tomas Hyka with a huge behind the net. The hit was captured in photo form and posted on the Olympiques' Facebook page which can be seen at the top of this post.

PAGEAU: Jean-Gabriel Pageau had a pair of goals and added two assists in the win. The Ottawa Senators prospect now has seven goals and six assists in just six games.

Pageau was named Buzzing The Net’s first star.
