Plein Jour de Baie-Comeau’s recap. Beaulieu’s winner came just 11 seconds into a power play, a penalty the Drakkar faithful were not too happy about.

SaintJohnSeaDogs.com’s recap. The Saint John Sea Dogs completed a two-game sweep of the Baie-Comeau Drakkar with a 3-2 win Saturday.

SN Live Blog replay. The Sea Dogs had a difficult time getting a shot on goal in the first-half of the second period.

OUT OF ACTION: As usual, Stanislav Galiev, Devon Oliver-Dares and Tyrone Sock were all scratched. Also, Ryan Tesink missed the game with what News 88.9 reports as a mild concussion. Tesink was hit from behind in the first period of Friday’s game and did not return.

PRE-GAME: The Drakkar held their Remembrance Day ceremonies prior to the contest as several military members were honoured at centre ice.

BEAULIEU: Nathan Beaulieu was a game time decision after missing Friday’s contest with a minor lower body injury. He did play, and it was a good thing he did as he fired home the game winner late in the third period.

DIFFERENT ‘TENDERS: Both teams started different goaltenders for the second half of the doubleheader. Jimmy Appleby got the start for Baie-Comeau and made 27 stops in the loss.

Sebastien Auger played well, making 25 stops for the win. It was the first game Auger had started since October 22. He improved to 4-1 with a goals against average of 4.00 and save percentage of 0.856.

DRAKKAR STREAK: The Drakkar have now lost four straight games and sit last in the Telus East Division with a record of 11-8-0-0. They have been outscored 15-4 over those four games.

FIGHTS: A couple of fights in this one. Ian Saab took on Gabriel Verpaelst in the first period. Unreal echo on the webcast last night.

Scott Oke vs Samuel Noreau in the second period.

JURCO: After his point streak came to an end on Friday, Tomas Jurco had a strong game on Saturday. He led the Dogs with six shots, recorded a goal and was a +1.

PHILLIPS’ STREAK: Zach Phillips extended his point streak to 10 games with two assists. He has eight goals 13 assists over that span. He is also on a 10-game assist scoring streak, the longest streak of its kind in the league this season.

HUBERDEAU’S STREAK:  Jonathan Huberdeau extended his point streak to eight games. He has eight goals and 12 assists over the span.

LATE SCARE: Saint John had a scare in the dying seconds as Samuel Carrier, following a faceoff win, nailed the post. The play was reviewed after the final horn blew but was ruled no goal.
