TSN: Huberdeau Nearing Return

TSN has some good news on the Jonathan Huberdeau front.

Forward Jonathan Huberdeau, who is coming back from a broken foot, appears as if he will be ready to take part in some, if not all, of the on-ice activities.

"He's going to be day-to-day," head coach Don Hay said. "We want to evaluate him, not sure if he'll get on the ice the first day (Sunday), but he'll work with our off-ice people and we'll see where he's at."

Huberdeau has not played since November 5th in Baie-Comeau. Believe it or not, the forward still sits in a tie for third on the Sea Dogs in assists with 18 despite playing in just 13 games.

TSN's Farhan Lalji tweeted this photo of Huberdeau still in his walking boot and wrote that he isn't expected to skate tomorrow.

Saint John forward Zack Phillips and defenseman Nathan Beaulieu also left for the Team Canada's world junior selection camp this morning. The camp runs through December 14.
