PREVIEW
DRUMMONDVILLE – The Saint John Sea Dogs kick off a mini two-game road trip this evening in Drummondville. The Voltigeurs host the Dogs tonight at 8pm at the Marcel Dionne Centre.

Saint John enters this evening’s tilt on a five-game winning streak and have won eight of their last 10 contests. Overall, the Sea Dogs have a record of 36-13-0-2 for 74 points. They sit first overall in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League standings, one-point up on the Shawinigan Cataractes for top spot.

The Sea Dogs are 14-9-0-1 on the road this year and have outscored opponents 89-79.

The Voltigeurs enter tonight’s game with a record of 12th overall in the league and second in the terrible Telus West Division with a record of 21-25-2-4 for 46 points. They are 4-0-0-1 in their last five games and 5-4-0-1 in their last 10.

The Volts are 12-9-1-2 at home this year and outscored opponents 89-84.

After tonight’s game, the Sea Dogs wrap up their Quebec road swing tomorrow when they take on the Cataractes at 5pm.

LAST GAMES
The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-3 win over the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada on Sunday afternoon at Harbour Station. Danick Gauthier had two goals while Ian Saab, Zack Phillips, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Tomas Jurco added singles. Mathieu Corbeil made 33 saves in net to earn the victory.


The Voltigeurs are coming off a 6-1 win over the Gatineau Olympiques last Sunday at the Marcel Dionne Centre. Alex Emond scored twice for Drummondville while Guillaume Gauthier, Andre Bouvet-Morrissette, Jerome Verrier, and Olivier Caouette added solo markers. Domenic Graham made 18 saves for the win.


HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Sea Dogs and Voltigeurs have met twice previously this season. Saint John won both contests and outscored Drummondville by a combined score of 7-2.

On September 30 in Drummondville, Zack Phillips, Devon Oliver-Dares, Tomas Jurco and Scott Oke scored for Saint John in the 4-2 win. Matthew Andreaccchi and Olivier Archambault scored for the Volts. Mathieu Corbeil made 22 saves in net for the Dogs while Domenic Graham allowed four goals on 12 shots before being replaced.


On January 14 at Harbour Station, Sebastien Auger stopped all 28 shots he faced in a 3-0 win. Charlie Coyle, Zack Phillips, and Pierre Durepos scored for Saint John. Domenic Graham allowed three goals on 22 shots in the loss.

Zack Phillips still leads Saint John in scoring with 65 points (26G, 39A) in 44 games this season. Danick Gauthier leads the Dogs in scoring with 37 goals while Phillips has a team high 39 assists.

Marc-Olivier Brouillard leads the Voltigeurs in scoring with 52 points (23G, 29A) in 49 games this year. Andre Bouvet-Morrissette has a team high 25 goals while Brouillad leads the way in assists with 29.
