Sea Dogs See Attendance Increase


The Saint John Sea Dogs were successful on home ice this season, going a league best 28-5-0-1. They also had success off the ice, averaging 4,561 fans per game at Harbour Station.

The average attendance number is the highest in the seven year history of the club and an increase of 83 fans per game from last year. The Sea Dogs saw a total of 155,060 spectators over 34 games, the second most in team history. The Dogs had 156,694 total fans in their inaugural season but played one more home game that year.

It’s the third straight year that Saint John saw an attendance increase which makes since given the team’s success.

The Sea Dogs had 11 crowds over 5,000 and four over 6,000 this year. Their lowest attended game of the year was 3,100 on Sunday, September 18 against Prince Edward Island.
