Finals Tickets Going Fast

Tickets to Games 1 and 2 of the 2012 President’s Cup final at Harbour Station are going fast.

Tickets to both games are already listed as “limited” on the Harbour Station website. News 88.9’s Tim Roszell tweets that there are “only about 900 tickets apiece” remaining for the contests.

Harbour Station legends Dancing Brendan and Friend (Mike) were the first in line this morning and began waiting at 6:30am. The box office opened at 10am.

“WHOO! Got to hs at 630 am to get tickets and was the first one WHOO! Go get another championship,” tweeted Brendan.

It’s not quite the ticket chaos of the 2010 President’s Cup final against Moncton but it’s right up there. Game 1 of last year’s President’s Cup final at Harbour Station did not sell out but Game 2 did.

The Sea Dogs have sold out just one game this post-season and that was Saturday’s overtime win over the Chicoutimi Sagueneens to clinch a spot in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League final for a third consecutive year. Saint John is averaging 5,281 fans per game in the playoffs this year.
