Four Dogs Prospects Invited To Atlantic Camp

Four Saint John Sea Dogs draft picks have been invited to the Team Atlantic World Under-17 summer evaluation camp.

Forward Nathan Noel, defensemen Will Thompson and Bailey Webster, and goaltender Christopher Smith all received invites to the camp. All four were drafted by Saint John in June’s Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Entry Draft.

Noel (Shattuck St. Mary’s) and Thompson (Rothesay Netherwood) were both first-round selections by the Dogs at this year’s draft. Smith (St. John’s Privateers) was a fifth-rounder while Webster (Cornwall Thunder) was a seventh-rounder.

According to the Hockey New Brunswick website, “Team Atlantic summer camp will be taking place at the Millennium Centre at St. FX University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia from July 14th to 18th.

“Intra-squad games will take place July 16th at 8pm, July 17th at 8pm and July 18th at 12:30pm.”

The list of the 44 players who will take part in the camp can be found here.

This year’s World Under-17 Hockey Challenge will take place in Cape Breton beginning on December 29th
