Harbour Station – Saint John, NB
PREVIEW
SAINT JOHN – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Saint John Sea Dogs have nearly identical records. That will change tonight when the two meet at 7pm at Harbour Station.
It will be the fourth meeting of the year between the provincial rivals. Saint John has won two of the previous three meetings.

The Sea Dogs ended their nine-game losing streak on Saturday night at Harbour Station with a 4-2 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders. It was Saint John’s first win since October 6th against the Titan.

Saint John is led offensively by Oliver Cooper who, following a four point game on Saturday, has seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 19 games. Cooper also leads the team in goals and is tied for the team lead in assists with Olivier LeBlanc.

Will Antoine Landry get the start in goal tonight? Sebastien Auger got the start this past Friday and Saturday and the Dogs play tonight, Thursday in Moncton, and Saturday in Halifax. Also, two of Landry’s three starts this year have been against Bathurst. We’ll see what happens.

The Titan enter play tonight on a four-game losing streak. They have dropped from near the middle of standings to where they are today – outside of the playoff picture.

Raphael Lafontaine leads Bathurst in scoring with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.

The Titan will have a different look tonight following a large trade made yesterday. Dominic Beauchemin and Patrik Zdrahal were shipped out to Rimouski in exchange for former Sea Dog Scott Oke and prospect Charles Anthony Poulin.
