Teddy Bear Toss Tomorrow Night

The Sea Dogs will hold their annual Teddy Bear Toss tomorrow night at Harbour Station.

Fans that bring a stuffed animal to the game will be allowed to throw them onto the ice following Saint John’s first goal. The annual toss is in support of local charities and the Empty Stocking Fund.

It took only 40 seconds for the Sea Dogs to open the scoring in last year’s game so it’d be a good idea to get to the Station on time if you plan on tossing a bear.

Also, bears can be purchased for $5 at Sea Dogs Styles while supplies last.

While the teddy bears are being picked up on the ice, be on the look out for the Scotiabank Change Bandits who will be walking through the stands collecting your spare change with 100% of the proceeds going to the Empty Stocking Fund. Scotiabank, the 'Official Bank of the Saint John Sea Dogs,' will also match all donations collected by the Change Bandits, up to $15,000!

The Sea Dogs will be taking on the Victoriaville Tigres tomorrow at 7:30pm.

Some other news and notes:
  • Friday’s game against Victoriaville and Saturday’s 7pm contest against Cape Breton will be Saint John’s final home games before Christmas.
  • The Tigres are on a three-game road trip through the Maritimes. They are in Halifax tonight, Saint John tomorrow, and Moncton on Sunday.
  • TVA Sports has an article and video on Olivier LeBlanc en francais.
  • Speaking of LeBlanc, he enters tomorrow’s game on a three-game assist streak. Oliver Cooper has two goals and three assists in his last three matches.
  • The Sea Dogs have a fairly light December schedule. They’ll play six games before the Christmas break and two following.
