The Czechs lost 6-2 to Team Canada, ending their perfect
run at this year’s Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament. Zboril was held pointless
in the game.
Zboril now comes to the Sea Dogs as the second highest scoring defenseman at this year’s tournament with four goals and two assists in five games. His six points
placed him just behind teammate Martin Weinhold. His four goals were the most
amongst d-men, though.
Plenty of people are excited to see what Zboril can do
with Saint John. The 2015 NHL Draft prospect continues to get positive reviews.
By the way, Zbořil is a beast. Love this
player. Great at both ends of the rink.

THOMPSON AFTERMATH
The Guardian has an article on the Will Thompson trade. The
most interesting part was this tidbit:
Charlottetown can choose which first-round pick it sends as it has its own and Gatineau’s from last season’s Alexis Pepin deal.
Isles general manager Grant Sonier also discussed the deal in the

Thompson was a -2 in Charlottetown’s 7-3 pre-season loss to Bathurst
on Saturday.
ANDERSON PLAYS
Some good news out of Val-d’Or yesterday: Stephen Anderson
suited up for the Foreurs.
It was Anderson’s first game action since January 5, a game
that saw him take a big open ice hit that would eventually force him to spend
time in hospital and miss the remainder of the 2013-14 season. The Sea Dogs
traded the 20-year old centre to Val-d’Or a few weeks ago.
In his return Anderson wore No. 11, had two shots, and went 8-for-10 in the faceoff circle in the
Foreurs’ 3-2 loss to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.
ROUGH TIMES FOR LANDRY
It was a rough weekend for Antoine Landry. The former Sea
Dogs goaltender allowed three goals on 14 shots against Charlottetown on
Saturday and then let in five on 19 shots against Moncton on Sunday.
Today, the Titan released Landry from their training camp roster. His MHL rights are owned by the Woodstock Slammers who selected him in
the second round of the 2013 draft.
Last season, the Caraquet native went 3-10 with a 4.81
GAA and .867 SV% in 15 games with Saint John.
WEBCAST NEWS
Something big is going down involving QMJHL webcasts. As The Q News reports, it appears Videotron will be taking over the streaming
services for the league.
Telus has been webcasting games for several years now and
has been a major sponsor of the league. But now, their logo is nowhere to be found
on the league website. Videotron’s logo is, however.
More details on all this should be released in the coming
weeks. The big questions are: 1) what will the quality be like and 2) what
will the price be?
GREEN VID

action on Saturday in Dartmouth.
Green had two shots, three hits, and two penalty minutes in Saint John’s 3-2 loss to Halifax.
UP NEXT
Saint John's next pre-season game is this Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Harbour Station against the Mooseheads. The two also meet on Saturday night in Truro. There is no radio or webcast, but we will provide coverage on the Twitter machine.
Saint John, 1-1 in exhibition action, is led by free agent invite Stefano Pezzetta who has three goals and an assist in two games. Nathan Noel and Juraj Siska each have two goals while Braydon Blight, Sheehan Kirkwood, and Mathieu Joseph all have two assists apiece.
