GAMEDAY 3: vs Titan

A preview of tonight’s game between the Acadie-Bathurst Titan and Saint John Sea Dogs…

When and where: Tonight at 7:30 p.m., Harbour Station

Records: The Titan are 1-1-0-0 for two points and sit third in the Maritimes Division and 10th overall in the QMJHL. The Sea Dogs are last in the Maritimes and 15th overall with a 0-1-0-1 record for one point.

Last games: Bathurst is coming off a 5-4 loss to the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on Saturday night. Jeffrey Truchon-Viel, Christophe Boivin, Bronson Beaton, and Mark Simpson all scored for the Titan. Saint John is coming off a 5-2 loss to the Moncton Wildcats on Sunday. Nathan Noel and Drew Gross scored for the Dogs.

2013-14 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs went 5-4-0-0 against the Titan last season while Bathurst went 4-4-0-1 against Saint John.

Last meeting: March 9 in Bathurst when the Titan defeated the Sea Dogs 7-4. Guillaume Brisebois and Scott Oke each had two goals for Bathurst while Oliver Cooper had a pair for Saint John.

Random stat: Matthew Highmore had three goals and eight assists in nine games against the Titan last season.

A-B notes: The Titan are led by Christophe Boivin who has three goals and one assist in two games this season… Guillaume Brisebois had three assists… Boivin had one goal and eight assists in nine games against Saint John last season… this is Bathurst’s first road game of the season… the Titan selected forward Jordan Maher with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft… the Titan acquired goaltender Antoine Landry from the Dogs this off-season but was cut by the team during training camp.
