Reports: Marsh Injured Heading Into Playoffs

CHARLOTTETOWN – The Saint John Sea Dogs will be without one of their leading scorers come playoff time.

According to a report in the Chicago Tribune today, Sea Dogs rookie Adam Marsh “sustained a high ankle sprain during a game, when his right foot caught in the end boards, and a Halifax player fell on him.” The Telegraph-Journal (paywall) reported today that Marsh suffered the injury last weekend in Saint John’s home loss to the Mooseheads.

Marsh told the Tribune that he will be off the ice for six weeks – possibly 12 – recovering from the injury.

Saint John plays their final two games of the regular season this weekend. The QMJHL playoffs begin next weekend.

Tim Roszell said on 96.1 NewSong FM tonight that Marsh is listed as week-to-week at this point with a lower body injury.

Marsh is tied for the team lead in goals with 24 and is third in points with 44.
