Game Day 20: at Charlottetown

The Saint John Sea Dogs (11-6-2-0, 2nd Maritimes, 5th QMJHL) take on the Islanders (12-7-1-0, 1st Maritimes, 3rd QMJHL) tonight in Charlottetown in a battle for top spot in the Maritimes Division.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders on Sunday at Harbour Station. Mathieu Joseph and Bokondji Imama both scored in the loss while Alex Bishop made 25 saves. The Isles are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Sherbrooke Phoenix last night on home ice. Matthew Grouchy, Will Thompson, Filip Chlapik, Chris Chaddock and Keith Getson scored for Charlottetown. Matthew Welsh made 28 saves in the win.

2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-1-1-0 against the Islanders this season while Charlottetown is 2-1-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Last Sunday at Harbour Station where the Islanders defeated the Sea Dogs 3-2 in overtime. Filip Chlapik scored twice for Charlottetown while Cody Donaghey netted the overtime winner. Mathieu Joseph and Bokondji Imama scored for Saint John. Blade Mann-Dixon made 32 saves in the win. Alex Bishop made 25 in the loss.
