GAME DAY 29: at Gatineau

The Saint John Sea Dogs (18-7-2-1, 1st Maritimes, 2nd QMJHL) play the final game of their four-game road trip today in Gatineau. Game time against the Olympiques (11-13-3-0, 5th West, 15th QMJHL) is 5 p.m.

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-2 loss in Drummondville on Friday night. Thomas Chabot and Matthew Highmore scored Saint John's lone goals. Alex D'Orio made 26 stops in the loss. The Olympiques are coming off a 5-2 home loss to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada last night. Eric Eschweiler and Marc-Olivier Crevier-Morin scored for Gatineau. Mark Grametbauer allowed two goals on two shots. Mathieu Bellemare made 18 saves in relief.

2016-17 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 1-0-0-0 against the Olympiques this season while Gatineau is 0-0-1-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 5 at Harbour Station where the Sea Dogs defeated the Olympiques 5-4 in overtime. Mathieu Joseph had a hat trick for Saint John while singles came from Alexandre Bernier and Jakub Zboril. Alex Dostie, Vitalii Abramov, Vincent Milot-Ouellet and William Basque had Gatineau goals. Alex D'Orio made 10 saves in the win. Mark Grametbauer made 45 saves in the loss.



Ex-Sea Dogs on the Olympiques: Forward Daniel Del Paggio

Random stat: Mathieu Joseph extended his point streak to 15 games on Friday. He has 25 points during that stretch.

Three Things to Know
1. After a slow start with the Olympiques, former Sea Dog Daniel Del Paggio has had a strong month. In his last 15 games, Del Paggio has five goals and 12 assists. Overall, the overager has five goals and 17 assists in 26 games this season.

2. Saint John is 2-1-0-0 on this four game trip so far. They are 9-5-1-1 on the road this season. Following today's game, the Sea Dogs will play five straight at Harbour Station.

3. A few rough years has seen the Olympiques struggle at the gate. They are currently averaging 1,902 fans per game, which is the fourth lowest average in the QMJHL.
