TV/Radio/Webcast: Rogers TV/96.1 NewSong FM/QMJHL Live

Series status: Saint John's leads the best-of-seven first round series 1-0.

Last game: The Sea Dogs skated away with a fairly easy Game 1 victory on Friday night at Harbour Station, defeating the Oceanic 9-2. Spencer Smallman had a hat trick for Saint John, Mathieu Joseph two goals and singles came from Cole Reginato, Joe Veleno, Kyle Ward and Julien Gauthier. Rimouski goals came from Denis Mikhnin and Alexandre Grise. Callum Booth made 22 saves in the win. Alexandre Lagace was pulled after allowing four goals on 13 shots in the first period. Jimmy Lemay allowed five goals on 22 shots in the final 40 minutes.

2016-17 regular season head-to-head: The Sea Dogs were 2-0-0-0 against the Oceanic in the regular season while Rimouski went 0-2-0-0 against Saint John.

Ex-Sea Dogs on the Oceanic: Forward Nico Blachman and defenceman Vincent Martineau.

Random stat:
Three Things to Know
1. The Oceanic had a decent start to last night's game, keeping the Sea Dogs to no shots on goal through the opening six minutes. But once Saint John got on the board, the wheels started to fall off the Oceanic.

2. Perhaps the scariest part of last night's game - for the Oceanic, anyways - is that Saint John scored nine goals while going 0-for-2 on the power play. The Sea Dogs had the best man advantage in the QMJHL during the regular season.

3. Going back to the regular season, the Sea Dogs have now won eight straight home games.

Numbers
Notes: The Sea Dogs kept Tyler Boland, who had 103 points during the regular season, pointless last night... Saint John's nine goals are the most scored in the QMJHL post-season so far - and that includes the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada who have already played two games... Smallman leads the league in playoff goals with three.
