Game Day 19: at Chicoutimi

CHICOUTIMI, Que. - The Saint John Sea Dogs will look to build off last night's close loss this evening.

The Sea Dogs got their three-in-three road trip off to a decent start, falling 5-4 in Baie-Comeau to the Drakkar last night. The Dogs trailed most of the game but had a strong third period, which the club will hope to replicate for 60 minutes tonight.

This will be the second meeting of the season between the Sea Dogs and Sagueneens but the first (and only) in Chicoutimi. Game time is 8:30 p.m.

Records: The Sea Dogs are 4-10-3-1 for 12 points (6th Maritimes, 17th QMJHL) while the Sagueneens are 5-8-2-0 for 12 points (5th East, 16th QMJHL).

Last games: The Sea Dogs are coming off a 5-4 loss in Baie-Comeau last night. Landon Quinney, William Poirier, Joe Veleno and Cedric Pare all scored for Saint John. Alex D'Orio made 36 stops in the loss. The Sagueneens are coming off a 2-1 shootout win over the Drummondville Voltigeurs on Sunday at home. Felix-Antoine Marcotty scored the lone regulation time goal for the Sags. Zachary Bouthillier made 34 saves in the win.

2017-18 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 0-0-0-1 against the Sagueneens this season while Chicoutimi is 1-0-0-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Oct. 21 at Harbour Station where the Sagueneens defeated the Sea Dogs 4-3 in a shootout. Olivier Galipeau, German Rubtsov and Jeremy Diotte scored for Chicoutimi. Cole Reginato scored twice for Saint John and Bailey Webster added a solo marker. Alexis Shank made 35 saves in the win. Alex D'Orio made 31 stops in the loss.
